There is a special kind of joy for us whenever we see stories about endangered or rare cats getting born. We love cats so much - all kinds of cats, wild and domestic. But we know that, over the centuries, we have lost so many species for so many reasons. So seeing them reproduce and survive just- makes us so happy, and we know that you all feel the same way. We all celebrated when the critically endangered Siberian tiger cubs were born, and we all rejoiced when the rare white lion quadruplets made their debut, and we all laughed when a derpy looking Pallas' cat was born.  

Today, we are about to rejoice yet again - rejoice and aww and be plainly amazed. Because an incredibly rare white cougar was born in Nicaragua, and the photos are so striking and beautiful, we almost didn't believe that they were real.
